Dear friends of the Vihara,

The Buddhist Maha Vihara in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur will be
undertaking to launch a welfare project The Late Ven K Sri
Dhammananda - Lebanon Winter Relief Project under the patronage of
Y.A.M. Tunku Tan Sri Imran Ibni Tuanku Ja’afar.

Our Late Chief Venerable has been a strong advocate of interfaith
activities. At the time of our Venerable Chief’s demise he was the
President of the Malaysian Consultative Council on Buddhism,
Christianity, Hinduism and Sikhism. We believe that this project
initiated in memory of Chief, is a fitting tribute to the ideals of
humility, humanity and service he always stood for.

The project aims to send 40,000 pieces of winter clothing. All you
need to do is donate RM 10.00 per piece of clothing. The project will
run from 1St October 2006 to 1st November 2006.

Chief always believed in action. He also expounded active compassion.
Your RM10 donation will make a big difference to the living, who
maybe the next to DIE, unless we give a hand to help.

We would be most happy to have you and members of your family present
at the Official Launch ceremony on 1 October 2006 at 9.15 am at the
Buddhist Maha Vihara, Brickfields Kuala Lumpur.
